Eligibility of Indian Air Force AFCAT Recruitment –
Age limit:
- Minimum 20 years & Maximum 24 years for Flying Branch
- Minimum 20 years & Maximum 26 Years for Ground duty [technical & non-technical]
Education Qualification For:
(i) Flying Branch. passed 12th class with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics.
- (a) Minimum 3 years degree course in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
OR
(b) Engineering degree from a recognized Institute with a
minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
OR
(c) Applicants have cleared Section A & B exam of Associate Membership in Institution of Engineers. - OR Indian Aeronautical Society from a recognized Board/Institute with 60% marks or equivalent.
(ii) Ground Duty (Technical) Branch:
Minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and Physics at 12th standard and a minimum of 4 years degree in graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Technology/Engineering from a recognized institute
OR
Applicants have cleared Sections A and B exam of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or
Indian Aeronautical Society or Graduate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent
(iii) Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches.
Administration-Passed 12th and Graduation (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline.
Education: Passed 10+2 and Post-Graduation with 50% marks in any discipline including integrated courses offering PG (Single degree without permission to exit and lateral entry) and with 60% marks in Graduation in any discipline.
(iv)Meteorology: Passed 12th and Post Graduate Degree in any Science stream/Mathematics/ Statistics/ Geography/ Computer Applications/ Environmental Science/Applied Physics/ Oceanography/ Meteorology/ Agricultural Meteorology/ Ecology & Environment/ Geo-physics/ Environmental Biology with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together (Provided Maths and Physics were studied at Graduation Level with a minimum of 55% marks in each).
